Join us
OMM is looking for singers and instrumentalists for our upcoming season of creating and performing choral music in the Okoboji area.
Vocalists​
​
​Choral experience and music reading ability are very helpful, but a love of singing, an ability to blend with other voices, and a good ear are requirements.
Instrumentalists
​
Reading music and the ability to learn music independently are a must.
Auditions​
​
Auditions will be held May 14 and 15, 2024 and will last 10 minutes each.
​
Audition times:

May 14 from 4 pm to 6 pm

May 15 from 4 pm to 6 pm

Jessica Schable Music Studio at 903 Okoboji Ave. Milford, IA 51351
Each audition will consist of the following:

A brief warmup to test voice range.

A prepared piece, such as the national anthem, Happy Birthday, or something everyone knows.

Pitch recall - the music director will play a few pitches, and the applicant will sing them back.

A short interview about musical background.

Rehearsal schedule:

May 20 from 6:30 - 8:30p
-
Then every Monday and Wednesday from 6:30 - 8:30p through the end of June.

July rehearsals once a week on Wednesday from 6:30 -8:30 pm.

There will be no rehearsal on Memorial Day, May 27th.

Performances​
​
Approximately 5-7 performances will be held between June 22 and August 3, 2024.
